To maintain and develop integrations across our key systems and contribute to a robust integration framework, we are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer to join our Polish branch in Gdańsk.
Your mission
As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will be part of our IT team. You will take the lead in developing and maintaining integrations between some of our most important internal and external systems. You will work closely with system owners, vendors and, occasionally, customers and partners to ensure we create reliable integrations that follow our principles, support our business needs and remain easy to maintain.
You will also contribute to developing and evolving our Enterprise Architecture framework and integration governance processes - not only implementing standards, but actively shaping and improving our overall Enterprise Architecture practice.
Areas of responsibility
Build and maintain integrations: Design, develop and maintain connections between systems and applications.
Ensure data flow and quality: Analyse, transform, test and troubleshoot data transfer to enable seamless information exchange.
Collaborate for solutions: Work with stakeholders to understand needs and implement effective integrations.
Apply Enterprise Architecture principles: Ensure that all integrations align with Techstep’s EA principles and standards, and help promote these guidelines in practical solutions.
Safeguard target architecture alignment: Maintain a strong understanding of the IT target architecture and ensure long‑term consistency and sustainability across integrations and systems.
Maintain documentation: Continuously document integrations and the overall IT landscape.
Manage day‑to‑day operations: Oversee daily integration activities.
Monitor integration platforms: Ensure stable and reliable platform performance.
Ensure smooth operations: Address performance issues and optimise integrations where necessary.
Troubleshoot issues: Investigate and resolve integration‑related incidents in a timely manner.
Experience and qualifications
Required technical skills:
Database solutions.
JSON, XML, CSV, REST APIs and similar.
ETL principles.
Required architectural skills:
Understand Enterprise Architecture and put into practice.
Break down business processes into system functions.
Merited skills:
Integration platforms such as Boomi.
Master Data Management.
Integrating with SAP and Salesforce.
Datalakes, PowerBI.
Valued personal skills:
Detail-oriented and proactive.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
